Gorgeous Shorties

Show the world what a gorgeous girl you are in these cute little shorties!  Made with the super soft Microspun yarn, they make the perfect pair of shorts to wear while you’re lounging around or to snuggle up and sleep in!  The ruffle around the legs adds a super sweet and girly touch, you will look oh-so-cute prancing around in them!  This pattern includes a chart to optionally stitch the word “GORGEOUS” on the back, which you can do by using a purl stitch, or with a contrast color.  The shorts are finished with a sweet and simple chain stitch drawstring that you can tie into a cute little bow.  Enjoy Gorgeous!

This pattern includes a blank chart so that you can customize your word/design on the back, a link to a video by me showing you how to pick up stitches for the ruffle, as well as notes for knitting these shorties in the round to save you time on finishing!

Skill Level: Intermediate

Yarn Weight: Light Worsted (300-350 yards)

Recommended Yarn: Lion Brand “Microspun” (shown in Sterling) or Naturally Caron “Country” (shown in Deep Purple)

Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) and US 7 (4.5mm) straight needles, crochet hook for drawstring (I used a H/8 (5mm) but size isn’t critical!)

Sizes: S-L to fit 34-40″ Hips

Notions: Stitch holder, tapestry needle

Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in Stockinette Stitch
